Transcription: Statement from Firestone News Service attached to back of photograph:Bowling Green,Ky--production of tire fabric at the new plant of the Firestone Synthetic Fibers and Textiles has begun. In this photo, Jesse Liles operates the loom which weaves cord into fabric. The huge rolls of fabric then are shipped to tire plants of The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company where the fabric becomes a vital part of every tire.
